The Nike Dunk SB High Stained Glass is a special pair of dunks designed with longtime collaborator Concepts.
The dunks are said to represent a stained glass window with no two pairs being exactly the same! These released at Concepts with a bunch of extras. Those extras didn’t come in the wider release. There are also a pair of iridescent lows that released as part of this pack
They have a special print on the insole and a Concepts shoutout on the tongue tag. The sneakers come with red, white and black laces. The pair I got (straight from Concepts) also came in a special box that is mostly black with stained glass images on each panel.
The hype was huge for these, and it died down super quickly. Confusion with special boxes, high retail prices online and defects on the toeboxes of some pairs are all factors here. Still, these shoes are awesome in my opinion. That is, provided the pair in question doesn’t have too crazy of flaws on the front of the toebox. The colorway and idea are really top notch!
Materials
The shoes are made out of a plastic type material with patent leather on the swoosh. As mentioned, many of the toeboxes on released pairs have defects with the shape and spacing between the upper and the midsole/sole. Other than that though, the material quality is good and the combination of materials used is really unique.
Fit
I recommend going true to size on the Nike Dunk SB High Stained Glass or even a half size up, as the material is somewhat stiff and the shoe can be somewhat narrow for some. These basically look as stiff as they are! These are definitely more of a “looks” shoe than a comfort shoe. That said, I would call the comfort level “tolerable” with these.
